About

Having been born and raised in Colorado, Mark Lorenzen’s art has a south-western influence, but is so much more than that.  He labels his dynamic, colorful works “mechanical expressionism”.  There are meditative pieces such as mandalas, as well as exciting, intricate pieces.  Most are quite colorful, except for the ones that stand alone as monochromatic or simple in their statements.

Mark had a short stint at schooling at Mesa College as far as art history and technique go.  He preferred to follow the beat of his own drum and create his own style as he went.  His free spirit can be felt in his marker on paper pieces, from the whimsical to the fantastic; his art is sure to please.
